Saint-Romain-Lachalm: organic vegetable plants to grab at “Un Jardin à croquer”

(Advertorial) After a season of internship at the Jardin à Croquer plant, Noémie took over Céline Brunon’s plant production business in St Romain Lachalm, which focuses on garden and vegetable production.

The plants are always certified organic and produced on warm layers: seedlings are placed on piles of horse manure. Decomposing manure releases the heat necessary for the proper development of young plants. This technique makes it possible to use waste to produce heat, without any energy!

Robust and early varieties

The varieties that are produced are selected according to our area, they are robust and early varieties.

In addition, the seeds of certain vegetables come from our own production, which further facilitates the adaptation of plants to local climatic conditions.

This year too, you will find many summer plants: eggplant, tomato, pepper, zucchini…

But also many varieties of squash and cabbage, lettuce, swiss chard… In June, leeks will also be available for planting.

What’s new for 2024

And this year’s new products: some flowers (sunflower, nasturtium, borage, ipomea, etc.) and aromatic, perennial or annual plants.

The greenhouse is open Monday, Wednesday and Saturday mornings from 9 am to 12 noon, we meet at 786 route des Gageyres in Saint-Romain-Lachalm.
