The Maison Marguerite network has been enriched with a new address. The couple turned the former postal relay into a cocoon for the elderly, in the heart of the town of Saint-Agrève.
The 180 m2 residence on each level is spacious, and roommates will also benefit from a courtyard at the rear where a terrace, chicken coop, pétanque court and vegetable garden will be created. On the wall in the street, a sign shows that it was a carriage that was built during the first half of the 19th century.
10 rooms of 20 m2 each
The owners have kept several elements that give the building its charm: a wooden entrance door, a stone vault in the kitchen area, several parts of the interior walls made of hewn stone. In the rest, everything was transformed, from floor to ceiling, to create 10 rooms of 20 m2 with the same number of bathrooms and toilets.
Joël and Marie-Cécile Plantier embarked on this project. Banking consultant Marie-Cécile had the opportunity to visit Maison Marguerite in Tence, the first one started by Jacqueline Decultis. The desire to offer a cocoon to older people remained in her permanent memory.
Homemade dishes
The couple had been looking for a large house for sale in the city for a long time. He finally found his happiness on the main street that cuts through Saint-Agrève. This shared home is located opposite Moze Hospital. After several months of work, the first roommates have just arrived. Here, laundry is done in the house, meals are fully prepared and laid out. Each tenant has his own bedroom and shares other spaces such as the kitchen, living room, dining room, and garden.
You will have to pay around €1800 per month, with possible help depending on your situation.
