Roland Kuster was born on January 4, 1947 in Ingwiller, to parents Edwiga Rauscher and René Charles Kuster, and then to two sisters Brigitte and Astrid. Two sons born from the first marriage, Thierry and Alain, died.
Having married Dominique in 1987, he had a daughter, Julie, the same year. Three grandchildren, Lucille, Matheo and Jade, made him proud.
A mechanic by profession, he spent his career at De Dietrich. At the same time, he distinguished himself in the world of car racing. He was also crowned champion of France in 1987, behind the wheel of his Martini MK36.
He multiplied his exploits at the regional and national level, achieving a total of 96 victories in seven years, and excelled in competitions in Belgium and Luxembourg.
