“Since he won the security management market, he has not honored any commitment. He promised a salary of 90,000 Fr, something he did not do, instead he pays 50,000 CFA, every month since last November, we have noticed delays in payment.
We call on the competent authorities to correct this injustice that we suffer,” insisted Adama Diémé, the spokesman of the day, who continued with these words: “We have remained two months without payment of our salaries and for 17 years no security agent has had any progress in status.”
These workers, most of whom have been there since 2017, denounce threats from a customer who is in the process of terminating cooperation with some of the whistleblowers.
The FRAPP department of Ziguinchor, which came to support these security agents, calls on the university administration to call the “returnee” to order.
“We have the impression that the situation of these agents is not a priority for the authorities, especially for the university. We are looking for the renewal of this injustice,” complains Cheikh Sy, from FRAPP Ziguinchor.
Other grievances raised, health insurance, social security payments, and university politics, these are additional equations that concern these agents who hope for a happy outcome to this situation that haunts their peace of mind.
